Hello and Welcome my name is Corey and I am a self taught wood worker. I make furniture using any recyclable material I can find. One major source of recycled material I use is wooden pallets. Pallets are a great source for hardwoods such as red/white oak, sycamore, cedar, ash. These species are ideal in making furniture for their long lasting characteristics. Did you know 85% of the hardwood that is harvested is used to make pallets. If these pallets are lucky they will get used a few times, most of the time they get used once and thrown out by the dumpster.
Some pieces are crafted using new material, we limit this as best we can. We try to fabricate everything if we are able to.

The materials that we use are destined to go to a landfill, CJs ReFabs collects the scrap wood and pallets from the Austin area to keep it out of landfills and then we bring new life into something old.
